  34. Most Hayes modems will not connect with anything else (the older ones
  35. especially).  I don't know about newer Hayes models, but I stay away
  36. from Hayes.    I have used the Aptiva GVC, external GVC's and USR's to
  37. connect to a variety of modems and they seem to work fine for me.
